The new Stenecourt Leisure Club will be holding its first meeting on Thursday 4th March when the guest speaker will be Simon Hickman from The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. The meeting will be held in the Reception Room starting at 2:00pm. Light refreshments will be provided for which there will be a small charge. There are no age limits and all are welcome.

Chayeinu, The learning programme for Men and Women returns on Monday 1st February from 7.30pm at Holy Law Shul running for 4 consecutive Mondays and also including a special Pesach Seminar in March.

Each session begins with a Keynote speaker and is followed by your chosen track.

Keynote speakers are Dayan Y Abraham of London, Rabbi Zvi Lieberman, Ray Hill and Rabbi Dr Alan Kimche of London.

Tracks include Jewish Philosophy, Medical Ethics, and Parenting as well as Jewish History and A Day in the Life of the Manchester Beis Din.

The programme is £20 for all 5 sessions. YOU CAN PAY ON THER DOOR

For the first time ever in Manchester , the Misaskim program will receive a dedication of a new Sefer Torah – Sunday 14th March at 2.30pm going from the home of Keith and Sara Taylor and going to Beis Yisroel Shul in the Cultural Centre.
The Misaskim program has benefited hundreds of people in the short time it has been set up.
There will be flags and sweets for every child and fire torches for the older boys
Procession: 2.30pm
Hakofos : 3.00pm
L’Chaim : 3.30pm
All invited to participate in this very special unique mitzvah.

We hope to start a boys minyan commencing on Shabbos Parshas Bo
23 January 2010 on a fortnightly basis. There will be a meeting to discuss this on Sunday 17 January 2010 at 1:15 pm at the home of Michael & Judith Seitler. All boys of Barmitzvah age and over are invited to attend to be a founder member of this exciting new minyan. If any fathers want to attend to offer their assistance in the organisation and running of this minyan their presence will be very welcome also.

There will be a special kiddush for girls from Year 6 upwards this shabbat in the Feingold room immediately after davening.

Chanukah Show
The stenecourt chanucha show will take place this Sunday, december 13th at 4pm approx, after Mincha & Maariv The children will perform their play, Maccabee Mania and all are welcome to come and watch.

Chanukah Party
All children in the show need to be at shul by 3.15. A group of children will also be going to Newlands to sing chanucha songs at 1.45pm this sunday.
This will be followed by the children's Chanucha party, including presentation of certificates to be awarded to those children who regularly attend Shabbos morning services and prizes will be given to entrants in our Succah Competition.

Children’s Chanukah Show
Rehearsals for the Stenecourt Children’s Chanukah Show, Maccabee Mania, continue.
This week the Juniors will be rehearsing Motzei Shabbat 7 - 8.15pm and Sunday 5 - 7pm. The Infants will rehearse Sunday 4.30 -5pm. Any questions see Sandi Mann.

Chayeinu learning programme continues on Mondays.
