Welcome to the new Stenecourt Synagogue community website.

We are a vibrant and growing Jewish community based in North Manchester. We comprise of 700 households and have a wide range of religious, educational, social and cultural activities.

This site is maintained on a weekly basis bringing you the latest news from our Kehilah. As this is our new content managed website we are still in the process of rewriting our content for each page, so week on week you will notice the number of accessible pages grow. If you would like to suggest any content for our website, please do so by contacting us via the form on our contact page.

Stenecourt Calendar
Thank you to everyone who has submitted an entry for this year’s calendar. However, based on the number of entries received, there is serious doubt as to whether it will be feasible to produce a calendar for the new year. The deadline for submissions has been extended; can anyone who wishes to place an entry in the calendar please do so as soon as possible. Anyone requiring further details should contact either the office or Harvey Barrett.

 
Focus
The Rosh Hashanah edition of the Focus is being prepared. Please can all members please submit their articles, announcements, adverts and photographs of Simchas and events as soon as possible.

Stenecourt Focus Magazine is also looking for a budding artist to create a front cover for the Rosh Hashanah edition. Entrants must be under 18, and the picture/painting should be in the theme of Rosh Hashanah. There will be a prize for the winning entrant.
The entries will be judged by the Rebetzens.
Closing date for both is 31 July 2010.

Stenecourt Leisure Club
The next meeting of the Stenecourt Leisure Club will take place on Thursday 5 August 2010. Guest speaker will be Superintendent Leor Giladi who will be speaking on “A Yiddishe Cop”. The meeting will take place in the Reception Room commencing at 2:00pm, Admission £1.50. All welcome, please tell your friends!

Kiddush Sponsors
We are looking for sponsors for our weekly Kiddushim. If you wish to sponsor, please contact Mr Maurice Gillis or Dr Charles Simenoff for details.

Chesed Group
If anyone has anyone information either family or friends of people who are unwell or hospitalised can they please contact Stephen Niman, 07939060874 or 795-3257, and he will arrange that they will be visited.
