Reverend Olsberg receives the MBE
On 11th December 2007 Reverend Leslie Olsberg travelled to London to receive the MBE from the Queen for services to the community in Manchester. He was accompanied to Buckingham Palace by his daughters Frances, Faith and Michelle, together with Frances’ husband Ian.

On receiving his medal from The Queen Reverend Olsberg informed her that this was the third occasion on which he had been presented to Her Majesty, and that this was the pinnacle of a long career from which he was imminently retiring. With the Queen’s consent Reverend Olsberg then recited the special brocha for a monarch in both Hebrew and English, for which The Queen thanked him.

After the Investiture a Glatt kosher lunch was hosted at the House of Commons by Lord Barnett, an old friend of Reverend Olsberg, and Bury South MP and Junior Health Minister, Ivan Lewis.
